Black Women Want to Thrive

Being a Black woman is amongst the most difficult of realities. Even though the Black community has suffered a lot of evils in society, Black women are the most affected and marginalized part of the demography. As a result, life is burdensome for women of colour.

Black women are misrepresented even on issues that affect the entire female gender. When it comes to maternal health, they get the most casualties. As far as the law is concerned, Black female victims are less likely to be believed or find justice. They also top the list for single-parent homes. Another damning attribute of Black women is superhuman resilience.

Life is not rosy when you live through a system designed to keep you at the bottom of the pyramid. As a woman of colour - you are human first. Your hardship doesn't merit suppression because of your skin colour.
